חמישי 00:00 סינ' 2, שישי 00:00 סינ' 2 פרויקט לאיה הינו מסע מוסיקלי מרתק ברחבי דרום מזרח אסיה, אל האנשים והחופים שנפגעו באסון הצונאמי. בתחילת 2005 יצא צוות הקלטה וצילום למסע בחופי אסיה, שם פגש בתרבות המוסיקלית העשירה של הקהילות החיות במפרץ בנגל ומקורן במדינות סרי לנקה, תאילנד, אינדונזיה, מיאנמר (בורמה), האיים המלדיביים והודו. לצורך הפרוייקט נאספה קבוצת יוצרים מאירופה, אסיה וקנדה ושני הישראלים, פטריק סבג (מפיק מוסיקלי) ויותם אגד (סאונד).
הפרוייקט זכה במקום הראשון בפסטיבל "ביירון ביי" באוסטרליה ופסטיבלי הסרטים בניו יורק ובלוס אנג'לס.
פס הקול שיצא בעקבות הסרט זכה לשבחים רבים בעולם ומופץ בארץ על ידי חברת התקליטים הד ארצי.

Some of these performances are rare, and documented for the first time .the Musicians are primarily from coastal communities affected by the tsunami of December 26, 2004. For the international team who came together for this production, Laya project is a celebration of life, and is dedicated to the survivors. Crossing boundaries of genre while still preserving the music of the people, Laya project's essence is artistic purity and simplicity, from a non-judgmental point of view. |
